Yes. The control panel that drives Bye-Bye Web Guy is integrated into the hosting panel and sites must be on our server in order use the technology.
Why is there a set-up fee?
Your web site need to be connected or plugged into our technology. This requires some up front time to wire your web site. This is sort of like setting up a new phone line in your home. The telephone company sends a specialist to wire up the phone at first. Then you are ready to proceed with just a monthly usage fee.
Is this hard to learn?
No. The interface is very intuitive and resembles most common word processing interfaces. Our clients are able to learn the process in approximately 30-minutes!
What kind of help is provided?
We'll set you up with a series of help videos and even a 1-hour personal phone session, one-on-one, with one of our specialists. You are free to then call our phone line for additional help as needed.
Why do you need to review my web site first?
We need to ensure that your site can support the technology and is secure enough to meet our server standards.
What if there is a problem and you determine that my web site won't work with your system?
There are really two options: (1) you can opt for other hosting-maintenance options or (2) we can bring your site up to code with enhancements that will make it work properly when plugged into our system. Approximately 95% of the sites we evaluate do not require additional work.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. You are free to host month-to-month.
What if I decide to terminate the service?
After the initial set up is in place you may host month-to-month. Should you decide to host elsewhere you would simply take the raw HTML or PHP files. Please remember that the content management system and functionality would cease as soon as hosting is terminated. There are no extra charges or fees for discontinuing hosting with us.
What if I want to add a page to the site or make a design update?
We can help with that too! In fact besides web-design our parent company handles online advertising, postcards, e-mail marketing, business cards and much more!
How long does it take to get my site plugged in?
We integrate most sites smaller than 7-pages in 5-7 business days!
What about Search Engine Optimization?
Good question! Search engine optimization is an important part of your site. If your existing site does not have it, we have a metadata pack available that helps to pack your scripts with relevant and powerful keywords carefully crafted to match your site content. We also create an HTML version of your index page for best optimization when coordinated with a PHP content management system.
Can I get web mail?
You bet! A variety of email and alias packs are available. Just let us know what you need.

When you evaluate my website before working with me what do you look at?
Mainly we check that all: forms are 100% secure to prevent hacking (and have a PHP CAPTCHA); that your pages are designed to "grow" as text is added (if not we can install text scroll bars); we check your programming language(s) to be sure they will integrate with our admin; we also check components (like flash) modules to be sure that they are XML if you wish to edit things like video or photo galleries. We also assess metadata and general security. After our assessment we will let you know if we can integrate your site.
Do all websites cost $349 to integrate?
Every site is different and our control panel integration varies depending on the number of editable pages and features like video, flash, photo galleries, pdfs and more. If a 10 MB or less site requires 4 HTML (no flash) editable text pages with up to 12 editable text areas, then yes that $349 fee definitely applies.
